Brief
To create an identity for the Viacom International Media Networks annual event held before the MTV EMA awards - SHOWCASE. The identity needed to really show off the networks channels, their shows, and reach they had Worldwide. The deliverables had to include a logo mark, and a pattern that could be rolled out across a print and digital assets for the event.
Solution
The logo mark was a sharp speech bubble encompassing the networks logo and event title. This conveyed the overarching message of getting people talking through its global reach of household channels and shows. It had always been the intention for the logo to feature heavily in the invitations design. The end result featured the logo die-cut, enabling the event pattern to be 'showcased' in the typography. The pattern itself featured key characters and figures from each of the main channels biggest shows. The Viacom pattern was then reduced to specific pattern for each channel MTV, Nickelodeon etc for their specific elements in the shows presentation. Overall the event and the look and feel was a huge success and well received.
